= About this wiki = The Great Falls Civic Wiki is written by volunteers. It is not run by the City of Great Falls, by Cascade County, or by any board or department described in it. Nothing here is an official record. When it matters, go to the source document — every page should tell you where that is. = What belongs here = * What a body is, how it was created, who appoints it, when it meets * What happened at a meeting, as the minutes record it, including the vote * What an ordinance or resolution did, in plain words, with its number and adoption date * Links to the agenda, the minutes and the recording = What does not = * Anything we cannot point at a public document for * Opinions about whether a decision was right * Private information about residents, applicants or employees. Names of people who spoke at a public meeting are in the public minutes and may be summarised here; addresses and contact details of private individuals should not be copied across, even though the minutes carry them. = Style = Page titles are CamelCase, one subject each. Meeting pages are named for the body and the date. Dates are written out. Dollar figures and vote counts are copied exactly from the source or left out. Where two City pages disagree — and they sometimes do, especially about meeting times — say so and cite both. = When sources disagree = They do. The City's own pages carry different meeting times on different pages, an ordinance list and a resolution list that describe the same action in different words, and board rosters with terms that have already expired. Do not pick one and present it as settled. Say what each source says, cite both, and note the date you checked. = Corrections = Fix it yourself; that is the point of a wiki. If you would rather not, note the problem on the page itself in italics and someone will get to it. [[FrontPage]] · [[HowToEdit]] · [[Categories]]
