The Audit Committee assures that financial disclosures made by management reasonably portray the City's financial condition, results of operations and plans, and long-term commitments. It oversees external audit coverage, reviews accounting policies, and reviews financial statements. The City states that members should collectively possess technical expertise in accounting, auditing and financial reporting.
Established by the CityCommission in October 1992, and updated on May 17, 2016 to add a private citizen.

The Commission approved a three-year audit contract with Eide Bailly LLP at cityCommission2025-02-04?. The AnnualComprehensiveFinancialReport and audit reports for fiscal year 2025 were accepted at CityCommission2026-01-20.
