Cascade County Planning Board

The CascadeCounty Planning Board handles planning outside the city limits, and its members double as the County's zoning appeal body.

Membership — seven members, appointable for up to three consecutive terms. Board members are also appointed as members, or alternate members, of the County Zoning Boards of Adjustments, whose terms run concurrently with their Planning Board terms.

Agendas are published before meetings and minutes after approval; an audio record of each meeting is posted on the corresponding agenda page. The County Agenda Center carries separate series for the Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Adjustment.

The board participates in the MetropolitanPlanningOrganization alongside the City's PlanningAdvisoryBoard, which is where county and city land use planning meet formally.

Note the naming: the City's equivalents are the PlanningAdvisoryBoard and the BoardOfAdjustment. They are different bodies with different jurisdictions, and a property's location decides which one hears it.
