= Metropolitan Planning Organization =

The Great Falls Metropolitan Planning Organization is the federally required regional body for transportation planning in the Great Falls urban area. City planning staff serve as its staff; '''Andrew Finch''' is the senior transportation planner in that role.

= Who is in it =

The MPO takes in the [[PlanningAdvisoryBoard]], the City of Great Falls, [[CascadeCounty]], the Cascade County Planning Board, the Montana Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration, the [[TransitDistrict]] and other local, state and federal agencies with a transportation interest.

= How it is organised =

Two bodies guide the process:

* the '''Policy Coordinating Committee''', which makes the decisions and posts its agendas in the City's Agenda Center under "Great Falls MPO Policy Coordinating"
* the '''Technical Advisory Committee''' — see [[TransportationPlanningTac]]

Both are subject to the [[OpenMeetingLaw]] and post agendas and minutes like any City board.
