The board held a special work session on '''February 23, 2026''' working through a project list — ADA restroom improvements, ADA sidewalks to play structures, water park bath house improvements, replacing the Elks Riverside Park trail, overlaying the Gibson Park trail, resurfacing sports courts, multi-sport dugouts and backstops, a picnic pavilion, [[RiversEdgeTrail]] improvements, irrigation upgrades, and tree trimming and replacement — together with how [[ParkDistrictNumberOne]] funds are used and a request for better communication in seeking the board's input.

Appointments and reappointments were made at [[CityCommission2025-01-07]] and [[CityCommission2026-01-06]].

Park district assessments and how they are spent are a recurring subject of public comment at Commission meetings, including on the use of maintenance district funds at Voyager Stadium.
