= Parking Division =

The Parking Division administers on-street and off-street parking downtown: meters, meter hoods, parking tokens, the Passport Parking mobile pay app, off-street monthly permits, delivery zone permits, alley parking, high school parking districts, handicap parking, enforcement and citation payment.

The division sits under [[PlanningAndCommunityDevelopment]] and is advised by the [[ParkingAdvisoryCommission]].

= Recent changes =

The division's operations have been under review since 2025. The [[CityCommission]] held a special meeting devoted to the [[DowntownParkingProgram]] on [[SpecialCityCommission2025-12-01]] and took a work session update the following evening. [[Ordinance3283]] amended Title 10 Chapters 9 and 10 of the [[OfficialCode]] on the administration and operation of the parking system; it was adopted 5-0 on first reading at [[CityCommission2025-12-16]], had its public hearing vacated and reset at [[CityCommission2026-01-20]], and was adopted at [[CityCommission2026-02-03]]. Resolution 10622, setting the rates, fees and penalties under Title 10, was adopted at [[CityCommission2026-04-21]].
