+ = Resolution 10582 — annual tax levy, 2025 =
+ The annual tax levy resolution for fiscal year 2026, adopted 5-0 by the [[CityCommission]] at [[CityCommission2025-08-19]] as item 20 on that agenda.
+ It was taken immediately after Resolution 10599, which acknowledged the effect of Montana House Bill 231 on the City's fixed [[LibraryMillLevy]] and which carried 4-1 with Commissioner Tryon dissenting. The two are linked: the library mill cap has to be settled before the levy that contains it can be set.
+ The levy came at the end of a long agenda of assessment hearings — the General Boulevard District, [[ParkDistrictNumberOne]], the special improvement lighting districts, the Portage Meadows Maintenance District and the [[StreetMaintenanceDistrict]] — each adopted by its own resolution.
+ The equivalent for the following year is Resolution 10637, adopted at [[CityCommission2026-08-18]].
