Wastewater Treatment Plant

The City's wastewater plant and its collection system, run by PublicWorksDepartment. The City owns the plant and contracts with Veolia North America to manage and operate it. The City received the NACWA Peak Performance Gold Award for 2024 for the plant; the Gold Award requires no violations of the facility's discharge permit for the calendar year. The department runs an industrial pretreatment programme with published draft permits.

Sewer rates are set with water and storm drain rates in a single annual utility rate resolution, preceded by a utility rate analysis at a work session — see WorkSession2025-04-01.
