Parking Advisory Commission

Advises the CityCommission, the CityManager and community development staff on parking within the City's parking districts.

Created by Resolution 6682 on February 19, 1974, and amended by Ordinance 2652 on April 20, 1993.

Membership — five members appointed by the City Commission, plus an ex officio member appointed by the BusinessImprovementDistrict. Experience or interest in the Great Falls central business district is helpful but not required. Members must reside within the City. Three-year terms.

Meets the third Thursday of each month at 3:00 pm (the 2026 agendas and minutes list 3:30 pm) in the Planning and Community Development conference room, Room 112 of the CivicCenter.

Staffed by PlanningAndCommunityDevelopment; the operating side is the ParkingDivision.

Recent business

The commission's work has been dominated since 2025 by the DowntownParkingProgram review, Ordinance3283 on parking system administration, and Resolution 10622 setting Title 10 rates, fees and penalties. Appointments were made at CityCommission2026-04-07 and CityCommission2026-08-18.
